    BROWNSVILLE — A Matamoros man faces life in prison after a 9-1-1 call revealed that he had repeatedly abused a 15-month-old girl, police said.

    Luis Alberto Espinoza, 20, dialed 9-1-1 to report that the 15-month-old daughter of his girlfriend was unconscious and having a seizure, police said.

    Espinoza had told police that the child had fallen from wooden stairs outside of a mobile home at 375 N. Iowa Ave.

    “When the police questioned him further, Espinoza claimed he had swung the baby toward the bed and missed,â€

    The poor child. I hate hearing stories about babies and/or children being abused. There is no punishment harsh enough to fit that crime.
