Border Patrol agents rescued 10 illegal immigrants in three separate incidents Wednesday.
At 12:30 p.m., Pima County sheriff’s deputies received a 911 call from a man who said he and seven others had been left behind by the smuggler and were lost, said Rob Daniels, Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokesman. Pima County patched the phone call to the Border Patrol and agents were able to determine the group was in the Avra Valley area, he said.
Agents from the search, trauma and rescue team, called Borstar, were sent, along with a Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine helicopter, to look for the group. Within 40 minutes, agents aboard the helicopter spotted the group, he said.
Borstar agents checked out the eight men, all illegal immigrants from Mexico, and determined they didn’t need further medical attention. They were taken to a processing center to be set up for voluntary returns.
The second rescue occurred at 3:30 p.m. west of Tucson when an agent spotted a man on the side of the road near Arizona 86 and Valencia Road, Daniels said. The man, in his mid-20s, was incoherent and severely dehydrated. A Borstar agent arrived and, along with another agent, they were able to stabilize the man until he could be taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.
At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Border Patrol received a phone call from a resident who said a man was in need of assistance near Arizona 86 and Federal Route 15 on the Tohono O’odham Reservation, Daniels said. Agents arrived to find a 31-year-old man from Chiapas in need of medical treatment. He was taken to the Sells hospital and recovered, Daniels said.
Agents in the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector rescued 294 illegal immigrants from October through June, compared to 341 through the same time the year before, agency figures show.

Border Patrol rescued 294 this year, compared to 341 last year.
Does not seem like MUCH of a decrease, even during summer.
And lets not forget that the Mexican Gov. passed out GPS devices this year.

Great, Texan123. So under this administration we are going to give Mexico about $1.4 billion to help Mexico with their problems, including how to get into the US illegally. Hopefully, some US company will at least get some business employing Americans manufacturing GPS systems. How silly of me, these jobs are going to China or India.
