Tattoos covering the body of the captured MS-13 gang member

YUMA, AZ (CBS5) -

A MS-13 gang member was among a group of suspected undocumented immigrants arrested Saturday by Yuma Border Patrol agents.

The MS-13 is a criminal gang made up of Central Americans. They cover themselves with tattoos on their body and sometimes the face.

Yuma Station agents were patrolling near Andrade, CA, and saw four people making illegal entry into the U.S. Agents responded to the area on ATVs and apprehended the group.

The suspected gang member was last deported in April and is being held for prosecution.

Earlier in the day, Wellton Station agents patrolling near Gila Bend discovered two people walking in the desert and carrying large backpacks.

Agents took the pair into custody and discovered the backpacks were filled with about $33,000 worth of marijuana.

The marijuana was seized for destruction. The suspects, both Mexican nationals, were processed for deportation.
