CBP officers arrest four for smuggling

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the U.S. Port of Entry at San Luis, Ariz., arrested three people for attempting to smuggle drugs and one for attempting to smuggle an illegal immigrant into the country over the past three days.

On Tuesday, CBP officers arrested a 32-year-old woman who was attempting to smuggle a 25-year-old female illegal alien into the country as a passenger in her vehicle.

According to Supervisory CBP Officer Teresa Small, a 25-year-old female passenger presented a Border Crossing Card (laser visa) as an entry document. CBP officers noticed the passenger did not resemble the photo on the document that she was presenting and was attempting to assume someone else's identity.
