    DPS rescues 34 illegal immigrants from drophouse

    Authorities say 34 suspected undocumented immigrants, including three pregnant women, were rescued Friday night from a drophouse in Avondale.

    Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves says it's the second drophouse found in Avondale this week.

    On Tuesday night, 14 suspected illegal immigrants were found in a home and four suspected human smugglers were arrested.
    Graves says Avondale police were tipped off about the latest drophouse and several teenagers plus seven women were among the 34 suspected illegal immigrants found inside.

    Graves says they may been kept inside the home anywhere from three days to two months.

    DPS and other authorities were searching the home late Friday night for any weapons and possible human smugglers.
