    I was just sent this disturbing news article http://www.landlinemag.com/Special_Repo ... border.htm this evening from a former colleague who also retired from the INS a number of years ago.

    I want you to consider how wrong-headed U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is. His proposal to open up the United States to Mexican truck drivers http://www.etrucker.com/apps/news/article.asp?id=78803 has the potential to harm our nation on a number of levels. Let me sum them up with a list of “what is wrong with this picture:â€

    The large scale apathy demonstrated by citizens of this nation has emboldened elected representatives to all but ignore the needs of the average American citizen in a quest for massive campaign funds and the promises of votes to be ostensibly delivered by special interest groups. There is much that we cannot do but there is one thing that We the People absolutely must do- we must stop sitting on the sidelines!
    Words of wisdom and I recommend everyone to start protesting by writing and calling everyone in government.
