Are The Virtual Border Cameras Working To Battle Illegal Activity?

EL PASO, TEXAS -- Drugs, violence and immigration are talked about every day here on the border, but does the problem end with law enforcement or the public?

Judy, You don't even need to call in, just push the red button that says "report suspicious activity" under the camera screen. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!

OH REALLY! I hadn't check it out yet, but just assumed we'd have to call. Wow! Well, I'll say this. As mad as I was about Bush II and his lay down act on the borders, once he resigned himself to our pressures to do his job on the borders, he did it well! These cameras were put up by the Bush Administration. It was the Bush Administration that has quadrupled the number of Border Patrol Agents, and implemented E-Verify at least on a voluntary level which because it's available invokes that "you should have known" to the ridiculous claim by employers "I'm innocent, I didn't know" and so much more like expanding the 287 (g) program. Just think if he'd done his job for the entire 8 years instead of just the last 2, how different and better things would be.

Thanks for the heads up and YES YES YES, these Cameras are ... AWESOME! We need them all along the borders and at our ports.

When those cameras first came out they were quite the news here so saved the link. Glad it came up in the article so we can let our newer members know.

They are awesome and we need them on the entire border, whatever the cost. They are so so cool!

Thanks again jean. It was very uplifting during our period of disappointment through the holidays over Lou Dobbs statements. And our beat goes on and some of our results are shining through.
