Maricopa County deputies make 100 warrant arrests

(Marnie McKim) Approximately 100 warrant arrests were made during recent crime suppression and human smuggling operations, according to a Thursday report by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies reportedly cleared 7,872 felony and misdemeanor warrants since the beginning of the year, with an additional 2,883 warrants identified and cleared during routine jail operations.

The report indicates that these warrants represent a portion of the total number cleared by the sole operations of the Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio said, "The number of warrants cleared by Sheriff's deputies and officers are proof of the tremendous success my Office achieves during daily operations."
