    AZ-Mexico to boost consular service

    Mexico to boost consular service
    (41) CommentsMariana Alvarado | Posted: Wednesday, May 5, 2010 12:00 am

The five Mexican consulates in Arizona will receive additional funding to improve protection programs in response to the state's new immigration law.

The Mexican government will also increase the number of employees as well as mobile consulates to serve Mexican nationals living in remote areas, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico announced in a press release.

The five Arizona consulates are in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Nogales and Douglas. One of the functions is to provide legal advice to Mexican citizens.

The announcement came after a meeting in Phoenix that Mexican Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan held Sunday and Monday with consular officials, community leaders and activists to discuss the law's impact.

The stepped-up efforts come "in response to the serious concern among the Mexican community" about the law, according to the announcement. Consulates will intensify outreach efforts.

    Intensify outreach efforts?
In other words they will increase their efforts to aid and abet their fellow countrymen, who have violated our sovereignty by entering this country in violation of our immigration laws.

Who has given the mexican consulate permission to intensify outreach efforts? Isn't this a federal issue?

Under SB1070 can they be sued or shut down for aiding and abetting?

Hope their legal advise will be this..."Nothing can be done since you are here illegally, pack up and go home, mexico will take care of you."
