An anonymous call led police on Friday to a suspected drophouse in Surprise, authorities said.

The caller said a home in the 12400 block of West Paradise Lane was the residence to about 20 people who are believed to be illegal immigrants, said Sgt. Randy Rody, a Surprise police spokesman.

After searching the home, police found five men inside, Rody said. It is unclear if they are illegal immigrants.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Immigration and Customs Enforcement are also involved in the probe.

Rody said the scene was turned over to ICE officials, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Surprise police at 623-222-4000.
