AZ: A Rancher's Personal Border Battle

    A Rancher's Personal Border Battle

DOUGLAS, Ariz. - This Arizona rancher is on the front lines of the border battle, living not far from a nearly non-existant border fence east of Douglas in the southeastern part of the state.

It's where cowboys and their families deal with illegal aliens, drug runners, and thieves -- something they never expected to live with, but now have to fight.

When Ed Ashurst hears the statistics that border crime is going down, he says, the crime in his neighborhood is tenfold what it was five years ago.

    FOX 10's John Hook reports.

Make sure you watch the video

BigTex, thanks for the video. It's sickening to see how these people, American citizens are not only being abandoned by their own government but are being turned into the enemy! Disgusting beyond words and IMO, setting the stage for armed conflict in the border region between militias and illegal invaders. There almost seems to be no other options.

Obama will listen to the sob stories of the illegals saying they are just poor people wanting a better life...........perhaps it is time for all the ranchers and farmers to tell him how these poor illegals are destroying America.

If it is so safe on the border, perhaps Obama and his family should spend their next vacation there.

Yes it was sickening. Glad you appreciated this. It really got to me at the end when the rancher's wife who got killed was telling her story. Our government should a shame over how they have hung these people out to dry. They are own their own with no support from the very government they have to pay taxes to while a violent foreign invasion takes place. Ridiculous!
