Sherriff Deputies to Concentrate on Illegal Immigration

DPS and Maricopa County have agreed to work together on illegal immigration.

State money will pay the salaries of 15 sheriff's deputies, whose prime mission will be arresting immigrant smugglers and their clients.

Mesa lawmaker Russell Pearce is responsible for the extra funding.

"I believe this probably is one of the biggest events in the nation going on today - the joining of these three agencies - major law enforcement agencies that have absolutely committed that they're gonna do something about the illegal immigration problem going on in this state," Pearce said.

Looks like the only way to start getting the job done is through the State level, and then hope to muster the agreements through to a decision by the Supreme Court!?!
