AZ: Shooting at suspected drop house

    Shooting at suspected drop house
    Associated Press - February 12, 2008 7:44 AM ET

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police are investigating a shooting at a suspected west Phoenix drop house.

Officers responded last night to a "shots fired" call at a residence near 43rd Avenue and Earll Drive, north of Thomas Road.

Police found a large blood trail coming from the house. Police checked the house and it was found empty.

A second call to police resulted in officers finding an adult Hispanic male in front of a house several doors down from the original scene with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say the victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police an argument took place between one or more undocumented immigrants and at least one "Coyote" over smuggling fees.

Once again an incident that seems to be just fine and dandy with Mayor Phil Gordon.

After all, he wouldn't want to do anything.......like crackdown on illegal aliens....... which might upset the likes of Elias Bermudez and his friends.
