AZ: Undercover officer's car rammed, causing fatal accident

Undercover officer's car rammed, causing fatal accident

An undocumented immigrant rammed into the car of an undercover narcotics officer Tuesday night, causing an accident that left a Phoenix woman dead, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said that Guadalupe Perez-Borjorquez, 26, forced the SUV of sheriff's deputy Rob Kinnet into oncoming traffic near 27th Avenue and Durango, where it struck the woman's car. The sheriff's office said that the woman, Phoenix resident Nanuma Lavulavu, 46, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Wednesday.

The sheriff's office alleges that Perez has entered the United States illegally at least five times. He will face charges of aggravated assault and second-degree homicide.

"This is exactly why I am making illegal immigration a top priority of my office," Sheriff Joe Arpaio said in a prepared statement. "Had this man been jailed each time he came into the U.S. illegally instead of simply being driven back to the border, a Phoenix mother might be alive today. Instead her children are planning a funeral."

A police report indicates Kinnet saw Perez throwing beer bottles from his car and diving erratically down Durango around 6:30 p.m. Perez noticed the deputy's unmarked car, drove his own vehicle in reverse, and rammed into Kinnet's Ford Expedition, according to the report.

Officials say Perez then continually rammed Kinnet's car from behind, then pulled alongside it, forcing the SUV into oncoming traffic. Kinnet was treated for minor injuries.

According to the report, Perez told officers he learned the driving maneuvers from watching American television

These people have no respect for our laws. They need to be deported as soon as possible.

Every city in this country should have a sheriff like Joe. Not only would crime be reduced but illegal aliens would be on the run...back to point of origin.

These drunken, drugged illegal aliens just don't care who they kill...in America or in their own country of Mexico. Repeat offenders are perpetual criminals that no civilized country on earth would want. They should never be given another chance.

A news anchor on one our local stations came close to that this morning........usually they don't bother mentioning the status of suspects. Today, the guy was continually referred to "An illegal immigrant" or "the illegal immigrant" during reporting of the story.

Not quite "illegal alien" but definitely a MAJOR improvement just by mentioning the fact that the guy is an illegal!!!!

How do they know this guy has entered illegally 5 times? Because they most likely caught him at least 4 times and no doubt just let him go back to try again and never prosecuted him for his multiple illegal re-entries as is permitted by Federal law. Illegal re-entry is punishable by 6 months for first offense and up to 2 years in Federal prison for subsequent illegal re-entries, plus possible fines. What a crock, how many more innocent Americans have to die before the authorities will do anything about these scumbags.

United States Code Section 1325. Improper entry by alien

    (a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection;
    misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States
at any time or place other than as designated by immigration
    officers
, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration
officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United
States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the
willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first
commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or
imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent
commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or
imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.

The other problem is that some police departments don't bother with some of the immigration comments when a person is run through N.C.I.C.

This 5 time deported criminal is a perfect example of why none of the Amnesty Bill would ever work. Our laws were supposed to have huge consequences for previously deported felons returning and see, this is what we get for it, another unneeded death...
Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...

Guadalupe Perez-Borjorquez doesn't need to be deported once again, he needs to be on the business end of a hemp rope.....for murder.
