PHOENIX -- Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, a leader in the fight against illegal immigration, has questioned why he and other Arizona officials were not invited to a White House meeting on immigration Thursday.

The White House said President Obama met with "a group of influential Hispanics about changing the nation's immigration system." The list included actresses Eva Longoria and Rosario Dawson.

"Why wasn't the governor invited?" Babeu asked. "Why aren't we sitting down at the table to represent truly the diverse opinion in America on this issue that's so important to our country as we move forward?"

Babeu said the president just wants an echo chamber to hear support for what he wants -- a pathway to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants.

"We went through this before in '86 and it's failed," he said. "You can't give amnesty or some form of amnesty to illegals because all you do is reward that culture that has broken the law."

Babeu said the nation's gravest threat is an unsecured border "because it's so porous and just about anybody can come through."

He said it's time to get serious about changing that.

Babeu should invite all of them to his county ...Show them around camp out maybe a rancher or two will let them stay for a week and if that doesn't open their eyes then maybe they can stay at the ranch all by themselves..See if that scares them a little...Heck why not a whole month that way they don't miss a thing!

they will not come because he believes the opposite of what they think and they dont want to know what the real truth is. these entertainers live in their own world and are fools for thinking this is not a problem. to think a solution is amnesty is all they care about

Sheriff Joe was also on the news POed and questioning why he wasn't invited. Sheriff Joe was saying that he could have provided better quality input on this subject being that he has more experience with this sort of thing than any of those politicians or lobbyists. And he is right, he does.

Because all Obamer cares about is an amnesty program that opens the flood gates and having his little tea party at the white house with hot hispanic actresses, that's why.

Obama and his illegal alien loving followers have no interest in hearing the truth. Actually, the already know the truth, they've just decided to ignore it because it is counter to their agenda.

The enforcers weren't invited because Obama is about to launch a pretty and famous people support illegal immigration media blitz. Mr. Show Business Obama is planning on being up in the big middle of them with a big cheesy smile on. Propaganda!

This is our Country and no one has a right to make millions of undocumented aliens legal citizens in this Country. If they try to do so, they will definitely be standing in unemployment lines too.
