For baby to be citizen, one parent should be

America must establish that to become a U.S. citizen, a baby born in the United States must have at least one parent who is a legal citizen. We are the last developed country to deal with this issue.

Those who oppose making this change have only a transparent political agenda. They see those illegal immigrants as potential voters.

They know that a citizen baby cannot stay here alone. It is a three-person package.

The massive influx of illegal immigrants, or as some call them, "undocumented democrats," costs this country millions of dollars. This is nothing short of "robbery by geography."

Closing this loophole will reduce some of the pressure on our southern border.

This will help reduce the costs of closing the border, which the administration seems to have begun to do, all thanks to Arizona.

In addition to "anchor babies" and closing the border, America needs to do two more things:

One is to fight any amnesty attempt, which is becoming routine.

The other is to tighten up on employers and demand they check all right-to-work papers.

On both sides of our family, I am a descendant of legal immigrants who came in the front door.
