Barletta finds ‘kinship’ in South Carolina town

Tom Hatfield, the treasurer of the First Monday Republican Group in Hilton Head Island, S.C., will be watching from afar this fall as Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta battles with incumbent U.S. Rep. Paul Kanjorski, D-Nanticoke, for election in the 11th Congressional District.
Barletta, a Republican, spoke with Hatfield’s group during a visit to Hilton Head Island last week.
