CEDAR RAPIDS (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a Guatemala man has been charged with document fraud and identity theft in Iowa.

An indictment filed on Wednesday charges Vincente Machic-Tasej, 24, with one count of each crime.

Prosecutors say Machic-Tasej used a fake resident alien card to get a job at a business in Sherrill, Iowa, in July 2008.

Court records also show that agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement seized an immigration form for Machic-Tasej during a May 12 raid at a business in Postville. Attached to the form was a photocopy of another fake resident alien card with Machic-Tasej's
name and a different invalid registration number.

Trial is set for May 4 in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids.
