Senator John McCain Attacks Republican Opponent in Senate Race for Being Extremist

Gheen and ALIPAC then issued a press release reiterating their charges that the allegedly closeted homosexual Senator was a victim of political blackmail.

Lindsey Graham had repeatedly denied he is gay, most recently in a New York Times profile.

    Illegal Immigration

John McCain is a conservative Republican who proved himself a maverick in his 27 years in Congress as he wasn't afraid to work across the aisle with Democrats. He was first elected to the Senate in 1986, inheriting the seat of conservative warhorse Barry Goldwater, the 1964 GOP Presidential candidate and then-doyenne of the conservative movement.

One of those issues in which he crossed the aisle was on creating an amnesty program for illegal immigrants now in the United States that would open up a pathway towards citizenship. It is a policy originally proposed by former President George W. Bush, a darling of conservatives and even reactionaries. However, compassion for illegals is unpopular now in Arizona and it may endanger McCain's political future.

J.D. Hayworth in Congress opposed Bush 43's proposed temporary worker program for illegal aliens and was a proponent of a crackdown on illegal immigrants. At the time, he charged that Bush was too close to agribusiness and thus supported amnesty for illegals to keep agribusiness supplied with cheap labor from Mexico and other Latin American countries.

Hayworth and Joseph J. Eule, his Congressional chief of staff, wrote a book about illegal immigration in which they claimed that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution did not convey citizenship onto the children of illegal immigrants, a dubious position legally. The book, Whatever It Takes: Illegal Immigration, Border Security, and the War on Terror, was printed in 2006 by the right-wing press Regnery Publishing.

The term "maverick" is simply a euphemism, describing a renegade that was too willing to compromise party principles when given the opportunity to do so.

McCain didn't just "work across the aisle," he sat in the laps of democrats on too many issues.

Yes, we all know how much John McCain fears ALIPAC. He knows that our support of JD Hayworth is a big problem for his reelection chances since we are the group that has helped the most to unify the Tea Party movement behind JD.

    In My Opinion,

McCain rides on his past abuses as a POW to win elections.

The Keating 5 issue is forgiven because he was a POW.

His adultery was "overlooked" by the military that would normally court martial and officer for adultery becasue he was a "War Hero" and and Admiral's aide.

Cindy McCain's drug theft charges were "skimmed over" becasue she was rich and and politically connected.

He got the nomination in 2008 because he was "due". the same reasoning that was used for Dole. shame on the GOP!!!

AND, he sold conservatives and the citizens of this country out with the Progressive Democrats. The McCain Kennedy Bill was a give away to the illegals.
The ammendment put forth by Ensign of Nevada to make identity theft a reason to exclude citizenship was voted DOWN.

The fine they were going t xharge was $2,000.00 but they were going to be allowed to claim unearned income tax credits retroactively for 5 years up to $4,200.00 per year. Sweet deal if you can get it.

McCain was on board for all of this - he can't take it back and now try to get on board the wagon that he thinks will get him reelected.
If he wins, it will be because he "bought" the seat.

He has been in the Senate too long and wreaked too much Prigressive BS on this country.

No he isn't. At best he is a moderate RINO who has already unofficially switching parties when he had closed door meetings with top Democrats like Kennedy before he ran against Bush.

Hey McCain... We don't flip flop on immigration enforcement and border security like you do and that's why you will never get an endorsement from ALIPAC.

So if McCain is truly supporting enforcing our borders and is truly against amnesty then why would dislike ALIPAC? He should view ALIPAC as his friend. Do you think McCain has a guilty conscience knowing that ALIPAC knows he is lying?

this is how the NEO CON mindset works; it is also how RINO's deceive the public

well hey, if the American public can be bamboozeled for 28 years by McCain, he'll keep slinging his crap

as a Veteran I am appalled at this increadibly weak man. It took a woman to do what a War Time Veteran was scared to do and that was to protect Arizona citizens

Sheriff Paul Babeu is the spokesperson for this McCain ad. It really bugs me and it is playing all over radio and TV. A bunch of Arizona sheriffs support McCain and Joe Arpaio is not included.

I never was good at politricks. I'm just saying How Could They? You don't HAVE to endorse anybody. It might be wiser to just stay out of it.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada has pulled his endorsement of U.S. Sen. John McCain, in part because of his opposition to the state’s controversial new immigration law.

Perhaps this is just the beginning of the end for McCain. His house of cards may be starting to fall. Once he is pressured to do something besides lie, he all of the sudden lets his true colors show again. I'll bet if a list of those who support "comprehensive amnesty" were taken, his name would be at the top.
