Battle Against Illegal Immigration Must Go On

    http://www.webcommentary.com/asp/ShowAr ... ate=050429

ALIPAC, among other immigration reform groups, is given a nice mention and credited with "their activism, dedication, and hard work."

Our Battle Against Illegal Immigration Must Go On
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is an open letter to those Americans who had fought tirelessly and steadfastly against both the Craig-Kennedy AgJOBS amnesty amendment and the Chambliss-Kyl guest-worker program, which failed to pass the Senate. You deserve immense praise.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your letters, faxes, visits and phone calls to your representatives in Congress expressing disapproval were the key factors that led the bills to their demise. Your voice resonated in the halls of Congress.

But, this is just the beginning. The fight is not over. Illegal aliens remain indifferent and disrespectful to our laws. And Congress remains indifferent on the issue.

We read everyday how illegal aliens refuse to attend immigration proceedings; how they have a tendency to avoid deportation; how our troops in Arizona have had to halt combat training because illegal aliens have been playing hide and seek on the site; how the costs of city, state, and federal programs are escalating because illegal aliens use governmental services but pay no taxes – well, perhaps some do.

We read everyday about illegal alien MS-13 gang bangers and there killing-Americans crusade – what infuriated me was the short life of a 19-month-old baby, shot in the head twice by one of these wicked thugs; how MS-13 leaders from outside and inside of prison are distributing contracts to MS-13 docile soldiers advocating the death of MinuteMan volunteers.

We read everyday how we have to be wary using the word “immigrant; how Sen. McCain and Sen. Kennedy are composing a bill that would fine illegal aliens if they get caught as opposed to deporting them; how North Carolina is on the verge of passing a bill (HB 1183) that would give illegal aliens the right to attend universities and public colleges under in-state tuition; how pro-illegal immigration billboard advertisements are being used to attract more illegal aliens.

We read everyday how illegal immigrants are organizing – they have the audacity to organize in our country in the name of civil rights! How they have a penchant for comparing the U.S. Mexico border to the Berlin Wall; how they call Americans racists; how they for some reason – I’m having trouble understanding this one – think we’re the bad guys.

We, American citizens, greatly concerned about the security and future of our country, about the dearth of jobs and rising costs of government programs, will not tolerate it any longer.

We have given speeches, written articles, conducted studies, and protested in an effort to disseminate the truth about illegal immigration, to reveal to the nation how our government is conversant with the problems associated with illegal immigration yet refuse to take actions, and why illegal immigration is wrong.

Our determination and hard work, however, has finally brought the issue to the forefront – I laud, among others, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), MinuteMan volunteers, 9/11Families for a Secure America (FSA), Americans for National Security Rights (ANSR), and Americans for Legal Immigration (ALI-PAC) for their activism, dedication, and hard work – they have made this movement what it is today.
Americans are organizing around the issue. LA Times staff writer David Kelly wrote the other day that “across the country there is a growing populist movement also taking matters into its own hands.

“Immigration is a national phenomenon, noted Mark Krikorian pointed out, “in a way that was less true a decade ago.

Do we have an alternative? No.

Had illegal aliens in this country been a little more respectful to our laws, we wouldn't be having this national debate on illegal immigration. Had our porous borders been protected, we wouldn’t have the Minute Man Project around. Had businesses been a little less welcoming to illegal aliens, we wouldn’t have this perennial cascade of illegal aliens arriving for work in our soil.

But had they this and that is another universe. In the real world, we are witnessing an illegal alien invasion that has gone out of control. And our federal government has been leaning back worrying too much about Bolton, Tom Delay, and the new Pope.

Illegal immigration is not only out of control. Illegal immigration is a violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act. And illegal aliens have gained political clout as a result of the Census every ten years.

So here is our message to our federal government, to the National Coalition for Dignity, to the Residency for Immigrants, to the International Answer, to the Farm Labor Organizing Committee, to the ACLU and all others: “What part of ‘illegal’ don’t you understand?

Our battle to protect and secure our country, our battle to preserve the true meaning of the law, our battle for a better America, our battle, must go on.

Americans against illegal immigration want the federal government to enforce the laws of the land and protect our country. Close our borders. Arrest illegal aliens and deport them. Penalize those countries who encourage illegal immigration. Allow law enforcement to catch and deport illegal aliens. And allocate more resources to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

I advocate no more employment for illegal aliens. No more public assistance. No more health care. No more education. No more housing. No more Social Security. No more taking our jobs. No more voting in elections.

Illegal aliens must go home and come back when ready to respect our laws and the immigration process.
