Bradley County Up To 37 On Illegal Aliens Sent For Deportation
    posted September 24, 2008

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has identified 34 incarcerated individuals as illegal aliens and turned them over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for deportation this year, officials said. And on Wednesday three more illegal aliens were turned over to ICE.

Sheriff Tim Gobble said he expects the number of illegal aliens identified and turned over to ICE for deportation "will accelerate and increase as a result of joining the Criminal Alien Program (CAP)."

Sheriff Gobble said he is still interested in the federal 287g program "which will allow us an even greater ability to identify illegal aliens and deal with the illegal alien problem."

Sheriff Gobble said, "I reiterate my support for legal immigration, but illegal immigration must be addressed and it is primarily the federal government’s responsibility to do so. It is my hope that ICE will be responsive to all BCSO requests regarding immigration matters."

Jean, thank you for the post of this news story. Isn't it amazing that with the proper tools, including 287 g and the CAP program, criminal illegal aliens would be identified, detained and deported.

Sheriff Gobble says that he continues to seek the 287 g. However, the City of Cleveland,TN (Bradley County) Police Chief Wes Snyder continues to say it is a federal problem and recently stood in front of the City Council to give more negatives against the 287 g than pluses. There are no negatives to the program when you consider the real threats that criminal illegal aliens pose to every citizen. The fact that illegal aliens use stolen identities, have multiple aliases and bring a great deal of crime to cities, warrants the very practical partnership programs. Those in law enforcement who reject these crime fighting abilities must be sold out to the open border special interests, big business, real estate, and City Councils who are pushing those interests.
