Berkeley approves boycott of Arizona

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Berkeley has become the latest California city to boycott Arizona in response to the state's new law targeting illegal immigration.

The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to restrict staff from traveling to the state on city business.

The council also called on city officials to look into canceling contracts with businesses in the state.

Other California cities, including Los Angeles, Oakland and San Francisco, have passed similar measures.

The new Arizona law requires police enforcing another law to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are in the country illegally.

Critics say it will lead to racial profiling of Hispanics.

But supporters say the law is needed because the federal government has failed to secure the border.

LOL...that is a funny visual. YEA!!! SHUT IT OFF TO BERKELEY FIRST! THEN LOS ANGELES!! THEN SHUT US OFF HERE (SF)!! I am not worried, the lights wont be off long before they all change their tune. Anyway, I want SF the Sanctuary City to hook up generators and TRY to get all the illegals to "pedal fast." Hey they are hard working.....lets see how hard working they are. LOL.

It's too bad that the California legislature is so full of dim bulbs...otherwise they could shove energy saving light bulbs in their pie holes and at least light their way to the poor house!

i can see more and more everyday that americans will be spending some time in arizona and boycott places like SD, SF, LA and california.
