Laborer arrested on suspicion of sexual assault

COSTA MESA - Costa Mesa police arrested a 39-year-old man suspected of sexually assaulting a drugged victim on Monday.

Maynor Manuel Lopez-Barrios, 39, a laborer, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. at an undisclosed location, according to arrest records.

Details of the case cannot be released due to disclosure and confidentiality issues, said Costa Mesa police Sgt. Bryan Glass. The case is still under investigation, he said.

Lopez faces charges and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. He is being held at the Intake Release Center in Santa Ana and is ineligible for bail. He is currently on immigration hold.
