    It seems to me that CMS did not want her to return for other reasons than the background check. Otherwise they would have taken her back. The revised letter came only two weeks later. Maybe they were considering getting rid of her anyway and this gave them an easy out.

    This company should be investigated heavily. Informing her too late to correct mistakes in her security clearance eligibility and then saying that she was incompetent. Sounds like they are covering the posterior with both hands.

    Yes she should have been notified so she could correct it. And I am thinking that most companies would do this if they valued that employee. That makes me think they had some other reason to take advantage of the circumstances. It sounds like they did not like her.

    Either that or the hiring manager's family member needed a job. Could be something like that too...in this economy.
