MARFA — The U.S. Border Patrol says its agents have seized 160 pounds of cocaine, 50 pounds of marijuana and more than $150,000 in cash inside a truck at the Sierra Blanca checkpoint on Interstate 10 in West Texas.

A Border Patrol statement issued Monday says the seized cocaine has a street value of more than $5 million. Also seized Saturday besides the marijuana was 25 pounds of cough syrup with codeine and a gun with ammunition.

The Border Patrol statement says cocaine was hidden in duffel bags inside the sleeper compartment of an tractor-trailer rig driven by a 50-year-old Mississippi man accompanied by a 28-year-old Georgia man.

The drugs, cash and vehicle were delivered to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
