Suspect Caught In Throat Slashing, Attempted Rape
(KUTV) SALT LAKE CITY Police have captured a suspect who allegedly attempted to rape a 13-year-old girl then cut her throat with a knife.

The 16-year-old boy was taken into custody late Tuesday. Police are not releasing any other information about the arrest at this time.

On Tuesday afternoon, police responded to the Genola area on the report of an aggravated assault. They found a teenage girl with her throat slashed.

An extensive ground search ensued but the suspect was not found. Units from the Santaquin/Genola police department are working with the assistance of police and troopers from Payson and Utah County Sheriff’s department and K-9 officers.

The search was also pursued from the air by the Utah Highway Patrol.

Authorities say the boy is apparently from Mexico and has only lived in the area for a few weeks.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery. Genola police say she's now listed in stable condition.

An investigation into the attack continues.

Genola is just south of Santaquin.

I watched this last night on 2 News, and they didnt' say anything about this boy being a mexican, and I'm sure he's illegal as hell to boot. It figures though. The MSM purposely leaves out these important details.
Thanks for nothing senator bennett and puke face chris cannon.
