I agree. Illegal immigration drives wages and the tax base down. Unfortunately, the biggest impact is to our low income Americans, of which the Black community often has a disproportionate representation but it impacts legal Hispanics, Whites, Native Americans,.... I grew up in a low income, multi-ethnic environment. I've been blessed but I remember.
Low income has felt the effects for a LONG time.

Better late than never.

I'm glad African American's are now being vocal about this issue. I think they might have been afraid to speak up because of their own struggle with racism. Let's not forget whenever you are against illegal immigration it is because you must be a racist. They are definately being displaced by this growing population. I can't stand driving around and being surrounded by nothing but a sea of Brown people. It's unusual if there is someone white or black or asian anymore. It's very scary.

It is all about political power, and the newest poster child for the power hungry are the illegal aliens.

Girlengineer, it has hit those of us with little expendable income the hardest. No matter the color of our skin, or the depths of our family backgrounds. Blue collar jobs, the ones whose decent livable wages used to be able to support any hardworking man (or womans ) family, have disappeared with the huge influx of illegal immigration since the last amnesty.

As I have said in past threads before, ALL Americans need to unite to take back OUR country, so we can not just barely survive, as all too many of us are now doing, so we can thrive.

BTW, notice the stock market has been taking hits very recently? I am not in ANY way educated in how this all works, but I could almost guarantee that if we had zero illegal aliens here right now, and employers had to realign their wages to what was decently acceptable for American workers, our economy would start booming again. Americans would have more expendable income, homes would be bought and retail would thrive.
