http://www.townhall.com/Columnists/Aman ... mmigration
A senior adviser to John McCain’s presidential campaign was pressed on immigration issues in a conference call with bloggers Friday.
John Hawkins, of Rightwingnews.com and Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey inquired about McCain’s support of an immigration enforcement act sponsored by Democratic Rep. Heath Shuler (D.-N.C.) and the influence McCain’s Hispanic Outreach Director Juan Hernandez had on McCain.
The blogger call was intended to promote McCain’s upcoming “Service to America Tourâ€

He explained, “Any person who supports John McCain’s campaigns is a subscriber to John McCain’s views and even if those people have published things or said things in terms of policy that are contrary to John McCain’s policies that does not mean John McCain supports that person’s view. That person is working in a campaign to help express John McCain’s view.â€Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!

Everyone,
Please contact McCain through his website and urge him to publicly support SAVE as one way to show that he is now for border security.
If McCain didn't make those calls about SAVE as he has said, then he should have no problem issuing a press release urging waivering congressmen to sign the discharge petition. Contact link here:

Hernandez is to McCain as Wright is to Obama. Neither of them get it.

Re: http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-109640.html
On a semi-related note, if anybody has a few minutes to write a letter to Chertoff and DHS (yes, a polite and supportive one...) please do consider sending some 'atta boys' his way regarding DHS/ICE continued assurance to send and follow-up on the 'no-match' letters. The ethnocentric lobby combined with big business and US CoC are really disliking the effort, so it's almost a no-brainer to support for us.

While we all want more and want it yesterday, at least the bureaucracy is starting to move on some genuine efforts on enforcement, and turning off the employment magnet is one of the best - maybe the very best - ways of eradicating the illegal immigration problem (and problems associated with legal visa entrants hanging around and working illegally too).
Here's the contact info:
