I am an immigrant* from the Caribbean from the United States Virgin Islands. My second cousin is a Mexican a former Mexican Consul. Not only do I oppose illegal immigration his late brother who was a legal immigrant to the United States did too.
* According to the US Department of LaborI support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Certain crimes are more vile than we are accustomed to, that do take a tone to certain groups. I know it's profiling or whatever, and isn't 100% proof positive, but for now.....sorry, if the shoe fits, maybe they need to take a look at it.
It's called a pattern. Period. That "pattern" can be established through everything we do. From when a certain neighborhood goes to work, what days they shop on, on down the line.....and yes, right down to male, female tendencies, to race, relegion and age. Mere observations. When people don't respond as usual, it lets us know something is off kilter. Like the neighbor who always picked their paper up and now there's a mound outside. It doesn't mean they ALL do it, but it's an indicator. I used to be asked all the time.....is there any chance you might be pregnant? They don't ask me that now. I'm OFFENDED! Are you trying to tell me older people don't get intimate? I'm not attractive anymore? Got something against grey and plump? Assume I don't don't do anything risque anymore? I mean there have been 60 odd year women giving birth you know!!! The ONLY people with dentures? No way we could look good without "work" being done? Centrum Silver is the vitamin we all buy? We make assumptions all the time and for the most part, there's a true basis behind it. You can't ignore it, just because it''s not 100% correct, 100% of the time. Like it or not, immigrants as a whole had a positive reputation, Mexicans HAD a positive reputation.....this new alteration in the view towards them wasn't overnight and isn't without valid reason. It's no more irrational to think they are all criminals than it is to say they are all wonderful hard working people. Just like any group. All white people aren't rich and greedy. All blacks aren't thugs and gang members. It's not until enough prove those profiles wrong, that the attitude changes.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

This young person obviously doesn't live in an area with a substantial illegal population. I do. I associate illegals with refusal to speak our language, freeloading, rude behaviour, careless driving without license or insurance, sixteen cars parked in the driveway, destruction of our children's ability to learn in a safe atmosphere. I could go on and on.

I don't think the graduate student's thesis addressed the incident in Hazleton where a US citizen's car was stopped by a band of illegal immigrant high school students who then assaulted and stabbed the driver. Moreover, when this incident was first reported, it was also reported that these bands (sounds like gangs to me) of illegal alien students often stopped traffic along certain streets after school was out.
But I have an idea to validate the student's thesis. Get all of the illegal aliens out of the country. Then analyze the crime statistics; drunk driving statistics; vehicular homicide statistics; identity theft statistics; and drug related crime statistics. If the thesis is correct we should see little or no difference.
But we can't get all of the illegal aliens out of the country can we? What we could do, tho', is identify all crimes, misdemeanors, drunk driving, accidents, etc. that are committed by illegal aliens, and do so by country of origin. Then when we discuss these issues, and students are writing theses on the subject, we would have actual data on which to base conclusions."We have met the enemy, and they is us." - POGO

If we are a country of laws they must apply to all people.
I am a very proud first generation American and know what my family had to do to become Americans. They worked very hard to assimilate and as a result, I learned at a very young age to love and respect America. So when I hear people integrating the terms immigrants with illegals I get irrate. It feels like someone taking their finger nails down a chalk board. Illegals start of as criminals and their behavior seems to get worse over time.
The reality is that our Gov't must enforce our immigtation laws and if they refuse to enforce the laws then none of the laws in this country are valid. So the American people don't have to abide by the laws either. They don't have to pay taxes, they can jay walk, they can just walk into a store and grab a handful of candy bars if they want them...........because their is no rule of law.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Slavery is a disgrace to humanity.
Crazybird, the worst offenders of slvery in American, were blacks from Africa, as they actually sold their own family members. Somone how there is little mention of that fact in US history books.

The court decision that required Blacks who had previously only been identured like the Europeans to repay their masters their purchase price even after years of service was Antony Johnson vs Caesar. Antony Johnson was a Black slave owner.

The people sold into slavery were not usually members of the sellers family they were typically prisoners of war, criminals and debtors.I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well.
