BISBEE — Members of Border Action Network will dedicate a new office and launch the Douglas Human Rights Committee during a ceremony in Douglas today.
The office will serve as a meeting site, a drop-in center where people can report rights violations committed by authorities and a place for ongoing training on rights protections, said Jennifer Allen, executive director of the network.

The event will be held at 2313 E. 34th St. in Douglas from 1 to 4 p.m. Allen said people who support the effort are welcome to attend.
Five people graduated from a three-month training program in March and became human rights promoters for Border Action Network. They are men, women and youth who have lived in Douglas for varying amounts of time.
Allen said the promoters will do work locally and nationally.
“They have decided they want to work together with other members of the community to ensure that their rights are protected and that people are treated with dignity,â€Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

how are these people getting funding?
I think this might be a worthwhile endeavor to find the paper trail here. It would very interesting if these satallite entities were getting funding from our government indirectly.... this way the validity that they are actually promoting it rather than fighting it with taxpayer dolllars.. might be worth exposing.
