SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A US Border Patrol Agent will be sentenced Friday, after pleading guilty to hiding an illegal immigrant who was his father in his home.
The FBI raided agent Marcos Manzano's South Bay home in January.
They found his father, who had been deported on drug charges, hiding in an underground room along with 61 grams of crystal meth.
Manzano's father pleaded guilty to possession of the drugs with intent to distribute.
He was sentenced to more than 6 years behind bars.

SAN DIEGO -- A U.S. Border Patrol agent who hid his illegal-immigrant father at his home in south San Diego was sentenced Friday in a downtown federal courtroom.
Marcos Manzano Jr. pleaded guilty in July to harboring a fugitive and was sentenced to six months in a halfway house and two years of probation. He was released on his own recognizance.
His father, Marcos Manzano Sr., pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and being in the United States illegally after being deported and was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in federal prison.
Until January, the elder Manzano was living with his son and other family members at a home on Shooting Star Drive. The home had a hidden, underground room beneath a patio in the backyard.
Federal agents raided the house last Jan. 10, hours after the younger Manzano was arrested as he reported to work in Imperial Beach. Manzano Sr. escaped the raid but surrendered to authorities several weeks later.
Manzano Sr. was deported in 2008 after being convicted of drug charges in state court. He returned to the United States the next year, and federal agents spotted him living at his son's home in September 2009
