Border Patrol agents found more than two tons of marijuana Tuesday morning on the Tohono O'odham Reservation.
They found the 4,365 pounds of marijuana inside two vehicles south of Arizona 86 near Covered Wells, said Gustavo Soto, Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokesman. The drivers of the vehicle left the scene and weren't arrested, he said.
One of the vehicles, a GMC Yukon, was reported stolen out of San Diego and turned over to the Tohono O'odham Police Department. The Border Patrol is holding on to the other, a Chevrolet pickup that was not registered, for seizure.
The drugs have an estimated value of $3.5 million, according to Border Patrol estimates.
