Nearly four years have passed since Jose Perez was mysteriously shot in the heart in front of his wife and young children at a Houston restaurant on the Gulf Freeway.
But on Thursday, Steven Torres was convicted of capital murder for arranging the May 2006 killing, a case of mistaken identity that took the life of an innocent man instead of a hated drug rival.
