Border Czar Tom Homan Delivers Blunt Message to Sanctuary States: ‘You’re NOT Going to Stop Us’ (VIDEO)

Border Czar Tom Homan has delivered a blunt message to sanctuary states during an appearance on Fox News on Thursday, declaring that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is achieving historic levels of arrests and deportations and that local interference from Democrats will not stop them.

Many Democrat-run cities and states nationwide have been limiting cooperation with ICE, including denying detainers for criminal illegal aliens.

Homan stated, “We have record numbers of arrests and deportations, making this country safer again. You’re not going to stop us. I just don’t understand why this is a partisan issue.”

He emphasized that the primary responsibility of governors, mayors, and city councils is public safety and questioned why law enforcement agencies would refuse to cooperate with federal immigration officers.

“Why isn’t law enforcement working with law enforcement to make the public and your community safer?” Homan asked.

Homan explained that June saw the highest number of ICE arrests in the agency’s history and that July surpassed even that record.

“The bottom line is, June of this year, ICE made more arrests than any time in the history of ICE.

Historic month in June. What do we do the next month in July? We blew June out of the water; we got another historic record!” he said.

“We’re going to keep doing our job. You can make it more difficult, you can impede, you can interfere, but you’re not going to stop President Trump from keeping his promise to the American people.”

ICE has averaged over 1,400 arrests per day in June and higher in early July, with hundreds of thousands of deportations already recorded in the current fiscal year.
