Border Patrol: 87 detained at human stash house in Edinburg

EDINBURG — U.S. Border Patrol agents detained 87 people Tuesday at a human stash house in the 6000 block of Barb Mar Road.

Border Patrol responded after a local police department requested assistance, Border Patrol spokesman Danny Tirado said in a news release.

The 87 people — who were accused of entering the country illegally and are now in Border Patrol custody — were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
