(Border Patrol Agents attacked near Mount Signal)… A Border Patrol Agent from the El Centro Sector office were responding to an illegal alien smuggling operation west of Calexico at around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.
The Agent was in an isolated area of the Desert near Mount Signal when he saw a white Chevrolet truck about a half mile north of the border, with several people in the truck bed. The smuggler apparently saw the Border Patrol Agent approaching, and he turned the truck around in an attempt to return to Mexico. The vehicle reportedly got stuck on an earthen berm, just yards away from the International Boundary. The Border Patrol says about twenty people got out of the truck and were trying to free the vehicle. The Agent arrived on the scene. Things turned bad when several subjects started throwing rocks at the agent and his vehicle, breaking the windshield. The agent moved the vehicle to a more secure area and waited for back up. In the meantime, the smugglers were able to free the vehicle, and they returned to Mexico. The Border Patrol says violence along the International Border is on the increase. They say in the El Centro Sector alone there were 134 assaults recorded in the last fiscal year, as compared to just 17 in 2006.

I hope the U.S. is filing an official complaint with the Mexican government each time an incident occurs.

Mexico is NOT A GOOD NEIGHBOR AND DOES NOT DESERVE ANY RESPECT FROM AMERICAN CITIZENS. Period.

I am surprised that Bush did not pressure the Border Patrol to arrest this agent for not assisting the illegals in the dangerous situation they were in with the stuck vehicle. I am sure Sutton could find a way to get him 10 years.
