A new video reveals a United States Border Patrol agent quipping that U.S. citizenship is now unnecessary to whether people may enter the country.

In the video, a man films himself going through the border control. The agent asks the man how many people are on board, to which he responds that it’s only him. The agent then asks if the man is a U.S. citizen.

“Yeah, but does it really matter?” the man replies.

“Not anymore, unfortunately,” the border patrol agent responds, before sending the man on his way.
