Border Patrol agents apprehend group of over 200 migrants near downtown El Paso<p>{/p}
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Officials with the Border Patrol apprehended a group of 219 migrants near downtown El Paso on Wednesday morning.


The migrants were crossing the border and entered the U.S. illegally near the downtown wall around 2:10 a.m. according to Border Patrol officials.


The group were mostly compromised of Central American families and unaccompanied minors.
Border agents also apprehended a group of 243 migrants near the Antelope Wells, New Mexico, port of entry on Wednesday morning.


Thursday morning border agents apprehended a third group of 209 migrants, also in Antelope Wells.
A total of more than 670 migrants in the three groups were apprehended by agents within 24 hours.
