U.S. Border Patrol Agents took 16 illegal immigrants from Honduras, El Salvador, and Mexico into custody near Froid on Monday evening.

An officer with the Montana Highway Patrol pulled over a vehicle for speeding and found 5 occupants in the car, but none of them spoke English. The border patrol station in Plentywood was then contacted to assist with translation. Two agents conducted interviews and determined that the individuals did not have immigration documents.

After escorting them back to their residence, the agents found 11 other subjects also without proper documentation. All 16 were taken to the Plentywood station and have since been processed.
