GROSSE ILE TWP. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agent Ibrahim Kobaree has lived in Detroit and Downriver for many years, and to him, Grosse Ile has always seemed like a very nice, almost fairytale-like, community.

People truly care about their properties, their neighbors, their neighborhood and the community as a whole, he said.
