Border Patrol agents apprehend over 800 immigrants throughout the Valley

Last week Border Patrol agents apprehended over 800 immigrants throughout various parts of the Valley.

On Thursday, April 25, McAllen Border Patrol agents responded to a report of a large group of immigrants near La Joya. Agents apprehended 224 immigrants mainly comprised of family units and unaccompanied children from Central America.
Agents apprehended another 145 immigrants on Friday, April 26, in Roma after Roma Police and Starr County Sheriff’s Deputies encountered the group comprised of family units and unaccompanied children. That same day, agents took 294 more immigrants into custody near Roma.


On Sunday, April 28, agents working near Rio Grande City apprehended another group of 170 immigrants.
According to Border Patrol, all subjects are being processed accordingly.
