CBP U.S. Border Patrol Agents Apprehend Sex Offender

Blythe, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Yuma sector apprehended an illegal alien with a criminal history on Sunday. His criminal background includes a sex offender conviction involving a minor.

The man, Francisco Aviles Gallegos, was arrested during a traffic stop by Border Patrol agents assigned to the Blythe station. During processing, agents learned of Aviles’ criminal history. He was previously deported from the U.S.

Aviles is being presented for prosecution.
