On Friday evening, an off duty Border Patrol agent from the Tucson Sector performed CPR on a five-year-old child. This occurred while the agent was on vacation in De Soto, Texas. While enjoying time with his family at a hotel pool the agent noticed a young boy floating face down and unresponsive. The agent pulled the young boy for the water and performed CPR until paramedics arrived shortly thereafter. Paramedics transported the boy and his mother to a local hospital. It was discovered on Saturday that the boy was moved to a regular care room from intensive care and is expected to recover.

On Saturday, BORSTAR agents responded to a 911 call made by one of seven individuals lost in the mountains north of Arivaca, Ariz. The caller stated they had been lost for over a day after crossing the border. Agents were able to gather the information necessary to successfully rescue all seven individuals. None of the subjects required medical attention. All seven individuals were determined to be illegal aliens and transported to the Tucson Processing Center.

On Sunday, a Border Patrol Rescue Beacon was activated several miles east of Three Points, Ariz. Agents responded to the location of the beacon and discovered two individuals. The individuals did not require any medical attention. Both subjects were determined to be illegal aliens and claimed to have been left behind by a smuggler. The subjects were transported to the Tucson Processing Center.
