CBP Officers at Miami Airport Seize Quarter-Million Dollars Worth of Cocaine Concealed Within Flowers

Miami - On Sept. 7, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Miami International Airport located and seized approximately eight pounds of cocaine with a street value of $256,000. The seizure was made during the inspection of air cargo shipments entering the United States from Colombia. The drug was contained in six red-packaged bricks and concealed in a shipment of flowers. According to Miami Director of Field Operations Sidney Aki, “this is another example of our constant effort to secure our borders and enhance aviation security through the interdiction of contraband concealed within air cargo.â€
