CALEXICO, Calif. - U.S. Border Patrol agents at the Calexico station made a huge methamphetamine bust on Thursday.

They estimated the value of the meth to be $1.25 million.

At about 8 a.m., a silver truck driven by a 33 year old man drove to the inspection area of the Interstate 8 checkpoint on the road from Arizona to San Diego. A Border Patrol canine team alerted agents to the truck.

During the search, agents discovered several packages concealed inside the truck containing meth.

The driver, narcotics and vehicle were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
