TUCSON - Two illegal immigrants with criminal records in the United States were identified and apprehended by Border Patrol agents this weekend.

On Saturday, a 36-year-old man from Guatemala was apprehended by Douglas Station agents after illegally entering the United States, according to a release from Customs and Border Protection. A records check showed that the man had a criminal history, including convictions for unlawful sexual activity with a minor and driving under the influence in Salt Lake City, Utah. The man also had an aggravated DUI charge out of Maricopa County, and will be criminally prosecuted for illegal entry, CBP says.

On Sunday, Border Patrol agents at the Naco Station apprehended a 34-year-old Mexican national, identified as a member of the Sureno gang. During processing, agents learned he was convicted in Madera, California, for driving under the influence and force/assault with a deadly weapon.
