Border Patrol Agent Recovers Stolen Vehicle at Checkpoint
(Thursday, December 11, 2008)
Yuma, Ariz. – A Border Patrol agent recovered a stolen Toyota pick-up truck at an immigration checkpoint, earlier today.
At about 11:40 a.m., a Yuma Sector Border Patrol agent assigned to the checkpoint on Highway 95, south of Quartzite, Ariz., encountered a Toyota pick-up truck bearing no license plates. The vehicle was referred to the secondary inspection area for further investigation of the occupants’ immigration status.
Records checks conducted on the vehicle revealed that it had been reported stolen out of Santa Ana, Calif.
The two occupants of the vehicle were detained and turned over to the Department of Public Safety. The driver of the stolen pick up truck was charged with Theft of Means of Transportation; the passenger was released.

CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.

These guys are so bright that they drove into a Border Patrol Checkpoint with no license plates.
NO AMNESTY

This is a lot more common than you would think. At least in AZ, it is.
We see it here all the time......mainly among IAs and the tweeker-crowd.
They view it as a matter of odds. With the amount of traffic on the roads, too few police officers, and other factors, unless an officer pulls up right behind them, or they do something else wrong and happen to be seen by LE, they really have nothing to worry about 99% of the time.
