    Support McCain can't count on

Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council, the largest union among the nation's force of rank-and-file U.S. Border Patrol agents, doesn't know who to endorse in the presidential race, but the union does know who it won't: "We will not endorse Sen. John McCain, even though he is currently representing our home state of Arizona."

In a posting on the local's web page, the union said Mr. McCain "has never been serious about immigration enforcement, and he has never been serious about supporting the Border Patrol," adding that the senior senator has routinely "minimized and trivialized" the illegal immigration problem in this country. It said the only "solution" he has ever offered is a massive new amnesty program designed to reward illegal aliens who have succeeded in violating the nation's laws.

"If Sen. McCain succeeds in becoming the president of this great nation, we believe it would be a disaster for border security and the enforcement of our immigration laws. We believe the American people have already seen enough of this type of behavior from our politicians.

"For those who care about the issues of illegal immigration and border security, we ask that you not support Senator McCain under any circumstances," the local said. "Don't be fooled by any 'tough' talk he may use now regarding illegal immigration and border enforcement. His actions over the years, his complete lack of support for rank-and-file Border Patrol agents, and his incessant calls for more 'amnesty' programs for the illegal aliens who succeed in violating our laws have done all the talking we care to hear."

The local said that while it honors Mr. McCain's past military service, Border Patrol agents are routinely being assaulted, shot at, killed, crippled and otherwise injured trying to do an often unpopular job for this country, and "Senator McCain has sought to sell us out and sell our mission out at every turn. Of all people, he should understand what it's like to serve your country and to have politicians and others turn their backs on you. Please honor Senator McCain's military service, but support someone else for president."

Stupid wedge issue is dividing us not Democrats. Republicans agree on securing the border the issue is what to do with those already here. They are our neighbors, friends, co-workers etc... just because we haven't had the fortitude to enforce our border and verify employment papers doesn't mean we can't start. But allow accomodations for those already here. I do believe the 'birthright citizenship clause' should be discussed as part of overall immigration reform.

John McCain you are a fool if you would sacrifice the presidency for illegal immigrants that are here and coming across on a daily basis????

I do not ubderstand your insistence on going against the American tax paying citizens wishes to stop catering to illegal immigrants in anyway, shape, or fashion.

You are killing your chance to become the president of our country, simply because of your bull headedness on immigration. There is no grey area to fool with.....stop the catering...period.
Or you will not get my and many other Americans votes.

They are illegal period. And John you are catering to them, "GOD" only knows why. They are no better than my grand parents that had to wait to become American citizens. ARE THEY??? If you think so, you have lost my vote.
As a 32 year veteran I am ashamed of your bull headedness on the immigration situation. Do you really think that there are that many votes that will be cast by illegal immigrants?????????

I cannot even hold my nose and vote for John "amnesty" McCain

McCain is senile if he thinks he can finesse that Amnesty Bill he and Kennedy tried to foist on us after these 2 gave us that anti free-speech, unconstitutional McCAIN/FEINGOLD travesty. Never trust a Liberal or a Rino like McCain.

A border patrol agent was recently run over and killed by an illegal alien. Where is Johnny Sutton? Obviously putting down a spike strip could have wrecked the illegal's suv and caused bodily harm to the illegal. Someone must be prosecuted and put in federal prison for 14 years. The agent unfortunately is dead, but his superiors authorized this racist, nativist, anti-illegal, anti-LaRaza atrocity. A full FBI investigation and Justice Dept. prosecution of obvious violations of the Bush-McCain Open Borders No Fences Illegal Protection Act of 2006. Border Patrol Agents and Marines fighting in Iraq must be reined in from their homicidal attacks on islamic terrorists, ms13, and other misunderstood minority groups that only add to our diversity.
