    April 15, 2011

    By Joshua Auzenne

    PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) -
A man living in this country illegally was arrested for allegedly making fake payroll checks from the company where he worked.

According to the Port Allen Police Department, Emerito Hernandez, 41, was part of a group that created forged payroll checks from Southern Packaging Inc.

Detectives said Hernandez lives in Port Allen but is originally from Honduras.

The company contacted police after realizing about 23 fake checks, totaling $16,749, had been cashed through its payroll account.

Investigators said Hernandez worked for Southern Packaging since the beginning of the year, but used the name Jorge Bustillo.

He was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center on 23 counts of principal to felony theft and 23 counts of forgery.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement also charged him for being in the United States illegally.

    Bond has not been set.

    The investigation is ongoing.

Bail? No way! I can not believe illegal aliens get bail. Take their stuff and
drop them south! If they commit additional crimes drop them in a nice
cartel run violent area of Mexico. Like anywhere along the southern border these day's!

I have no pity for Southern packaging, you employ illegals? You're reaping exactly what you have sown!

Sounds like he was doing one job which Americans would love to do, working in a packaging plant and another job, forging payroll checks which Americans don't want to do. Send his thieving ass back to the rock from under where he crawled out in the sewer of Central America.
