Man charged with videotaping women in bathroom at South Brunswick warehouse

SOUTH BRUNSWICK — A man who was in the country illegally was arrested Saturday at the Wakefern warehouse on Tower Road after it was discovered he was using his cell phone to take pictures inside the the women's bathroom at the facility.

Juan C. Torres, a 28-year-old resident of Jamesburg, was arrested when Patrolman Michael Hallman inspected his cell phone and found video images taken inside the bathroom.

Police were called to the scene after Torres was discovered in the bathroom attempting to videotape women, police said. Employees told police that Torres had locked himself in a stall and stood on the toilet adjacent to an occupied stall to take the pictures.

When he was arrested, police found two outstanding warrants from Jamesburg and East Brunswick for unknown violations. Once in custody, it was discovered Torres was in the country illegally, police said.

Torres was charged with contempt for the outstanding warrants as well as the third-
degree crime of producing images of exposed body parts without license.

He was taken to the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick, with bail on the criminal charge set at $15,000.

In addition, the U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement issued a no bail detainer.

Maybe the school kids can buy him a real nice digital cam so he can do his
job.
